 Tanjung Putting is one of the few places in the world where orangutans can be seen in the wild! Observe Orangutans, Proboscis Monkeys, Gibbons, Tarsiers and other primate species in their natural habitat. Enjoy the Klotok river boat experience and the dense forest.
  Day 1: Pangkalanbun, Tanjung Puting [125 miles – 3 hours]
Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport you’ll be met by our local guide who will drive you to the pier and assist you on the boat transfer to Kumai. The boat is a traditional Klotok wooden river-boat, about 33-foot by 6.5-foot with a roof which forms the upper deck f rom where you can view the rain forest as it glides by. The guide's team
includes the boatman, a cook and an expert guide. Lunch is served on the way to Tanjung Puting. Enjoy the cruise up the peaceful jungle for about two hours while slowly exploring the quiet river, observing the proboscis monkeys alongside the river or, if you’re lucky, some orangutans lying down on their nest or hunting for food and flying from one tree to another. You are in one of the most privileged places in the world to live this kind of experience. Arrive at the lodge for dinner and accommodation. Or you may opt have accommodations on the boat instead. Day 2: Tanjung Puting (Orangutan Exploration at Camp Leaky) [6 miles]
Breakfast at the lodge. Half day trek- king exploring the orangutans and arriving at Natai Lengkuas, a research center for Proboscis monkey’s, in time
for the feeding at 11:30 am. Then, continue to Camp Leaky with a short trekking through the rainforest. Lunch will be provided on the way. The camp was established in 1971 to support research activities in Tanjung Puting
