Downtown SOUTH KOREA Providing Fascinating Travel Experiences
Korea Land & Sea
 6 days
Seoul, DMZ, Jeju Island
mites and lava tube tunnels. Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, located on the eastern end of Jeju Island, rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100,000 years ago and has a huge crater almost 2,000 feet in diameter and 300 feet deep. With the 99 sharp rocks surrounding the crater, it looks like a gigantic crown! While the southeast and north sides are cliffs, the northwest side is a verdant grassy hill that is connected to the Seongsan Village. The ridge provides an ideal spot to watch the magnificent sunrise. Continue to Seongeup Folk Village with its preserved traditional architec-
ture from the Goryo Dynasty (918- 1392). Then, visit the Jungbang Waterfall which is the only coastal waterfall in the orient where waters enter directly into the sea. The last stop is at Jusangjeolli rocks, that look like a large folding screen with black hexag- onal stone pillars and provide a setting of mesmerizing beauty with ocean waves crashing against the pillars. Return to the hotel. [B]
