Politicians within most countries want to see an increase in the level of innovation within their countries to drive their economies into growth mode. Innovation is the first part of a two-part solution to creating new products, systems, environments and media, with ingenuity being the partner to being innovative. However, politicians are also driving standardised testing which works against the very idea of innovation and subsequent ingenuity of our learners.
In the resource below innovation is viewed as the result of applying creatively composed combinations of knowledge elements, ideas, concepts and concept frameworks to meet needs or opportunities. It is our ingenuity that allows us to take the innovative ideas, concepts or concept frameworks and develop those into new products, systems, environments or media that have value as expressed in the diagram below.
