  Algebraic Expression
An expression made from numbers, variables, constants, and mathematical operators is called an algebraic expression.
For example,
4x – 7
It’s an algebraic expression in one variable.
Before moving ahead, let us understand the basic terminologies of algebra.
• Constant
A constant is a number with a fixed numerical value. Numbers like 0, 1, 2..... are constants.
• Variable
It’s the symbol used for denoting a number. Alphabets like w, x, y, and z are used as a variable.
• Coefficient
The constant term used with a variable in algebra is called a coefficient. A coefficient is a constant number.
• Mathematical operator
The mathematical operations are +, –, ×, and ÷.
