a letter from the director of development
Dear Members of the Georgetown Prep Community:
I have been closely associated with Prep for over 50 years – as a student first, then an alumnus, later a parent of three alumni, and now as a member of the administration. I’ve lived through a lot here, naturally not all of it perfect. But Prep has always been strong, never more so than now. Our faculty is fantastic, the guys are so talented in many ways, our parents and past parents are dedicated and engaged, and our alumni are loyal and full of accomplishment.
During this most challenging time our needs escalated beyond anticipation and we asked for your help to keep us strong and together. Every single one of you had to confront this pandemic at home and with your extended families. And yet when we asked for support you did not just answer the call, you embraced Prep with a level of generosity that is truly remarkable. A number of our families were displaced in some way and your kindness allowed them to keep their sons at Prep. That fact is probably the only recognition you need but I will not leave it there. Thank you from all of us – we will continue to work hard to keep your trust and honor your commitment to this special place. Georgetown Prep is extraordinary because of you. I offer my sincere appreciation for all that you do for us.
Sincerely,
John J. Coyle ’75, P’03, ’05, ’07 Director of Development
