   Mongols: The Secret History
3 x 60’ or 1 x 90’, 2020, HD
Conquerors, rulers, patrons, warlords - the lives of Genghis Khan’s ‘Golden Family’ are the stuff of legend. But despite stories of ingenuity, brutality and grandeur, most know surprisingly little about this extraordinary dynasty and the people they led to take over the world. This series uses the latest research, combined with spectacular drama, to reveal the truth about the Mongols, exploring their extraordinary journey from outcasts to emperors, ruling over a land mass four times larger than the Roman Empire.
This beautifully shot film sets out on a quest to resolve the archaeological mystery of the hanging coffins found throughout Southwest China and the disappearance of the unique people who left them behind half a millennium ago.
