 BULLSEYE PRAYERS
All through His journey, Jesus faced opposition from the Pharisees, Sadducees and priests. They seemed to be seeking the interest of God by arguing based on their warped knowledge of the law but they were nothing more than instruments in the hands of satan engaged to fight the ministry of Jesus.
They were always looking out for what He would say with a view of accusing Him of speaking against the law so that they could stop Him. TheyalwayswantedHimtogetintotroublewithHiswords. They were scared of the things that Jesus was saying and the effect that it was having on the people. They were astonished that His words were powerful words of wisdom and through them He accomplished great signs.
Matthew 13:54,57-58 KJV
And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? [57] And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. [58] And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
None of the traps that the Pharisees in conspiracy with the priests
set for Jesus succeeded to catch Him. He always escaped them.
