 YOUR KINGDOM COME
purpose of his or her calling and works hard to accomplish it, we expedite the coming of the kingdom of God. It does not come by looking at others but by focusing on ourselves to ensure that our part of the race is accomplished.
The foregoing serves to give us a peep into what we are praying to birth when we cry to God saying, “Your kingdom come.” We are contributing to making these things happen as God has ordained them.
I consider it a great privilege to have this as priority on my prayer list as well. This is really situating ourselves and, indeed, our walk in the faith, squarely within the heart of God. This is what it means to seek the kingdom of God. And by the way, we are required to seek it “first.”
Matthew 6:33 NKJV
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Again, Jesus confirmed the importance of this prayer in the above scripture. The kingdom God manifesting in its fullness must be top priority on our prayer list. That is what it takes to enjoy the ‘bullseye’ status in our prayer relationship with the Lord.
