Salem Willows
Salem Willows is a 35-acre waterfront park established in 1858. Named for the white willow trees planted around 1800, the park once welcomed visitors by Naumkeag Street Railway Company with horse-drawn trolleys. Several attractions and restaurants opened in the 1880s, including concession sales for Hobbs’ popcorn, which is still in operation. Salem Willows’ restaurants, arcade, and waterfront views continue to offer a nostalgic summer experience for visitors and locals alike.
