Dear Westlake Chaparral Football Family,
It has been an honor and a whole lot of FUN to serve as your Varsity Team Parents for the 2021 Football season. We are so grateful to Coach Dodge and his incredible staff for the leadership of this team.
To the parents who volunteered endlessly, fed our boys each week, made the buttons, brought their cowbells, planned the tailgates—you make this program the Pride of the Hills and we are very sincere in our gratitude for all you did this season. We ended with a remarkable 16-0 season that started back in August with feeding the boys after training camp and a fabulous kick-off at Chap Fest!
August seems like so long ago and yet like yesterday at the same time. The season flew by in our eyes. We BEAT Lake Travis again this year at home. We went undefeat- ed in District 25-6A to win the championship title outright, beat an undefeated Katy, and went on to WIN straight back to back to back State 6A State Championships!! A Three-Peat. What a run! Our Westlake Family was there every step of the way which
is what made this experience so incredible. We would like to say THANK YOU to our Parent Volunteer Chairs. The countless hours of time and energy that filled your days for Westlake Football did not go unnoticed. To those that said “what can I do to help?” And then you did—over and over.
To our Coaching Staff—the impact you made on our sons and their teammates is life- long. The lessons the boys learned in the team meetings, film review, on the practice field and the playing field—have each made an impact that we are certain will carry on as they take their next steps towards his future. To Elizabeth and all the coach’s wives and families—thank you for sharing your husbands and dads with us this sea- son--it could not have been easy each week. To the Senior Parents and Players—our memories and pride for these players will keep us together. The future of Westlake football is in great hands with Coach
Salazar and we have no doubt it will continue to be full of success both on and off the field.
Go Chaps! Stay Humble. Stay Hungry!
