“We have been committed to the Global Outreach Day (G.O.D.) in Costa Rica for five years now,“ explains Rigo- berto Vega Alvarado, the National Coordinator of Global Outreach. „Five years ago we were about 21 percent committed Christians here in the country. The new fig- ure for 2019 is now 27 percent - which is a new statistic from the Secular University of Costa Rica“. And he con- tinues: „That is an amazing number for us, that we have grown by six percent in five years. We thank God for Global Outreach Day, which has helped us to increase the number of Christians.“ The Christians in Costa Rica had attracted attention from the very beginning through particularly creative outreaches at the G.O.D.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
About 200,000 Christians are active in the Dominican Republic on Global Outreach Day every year. In five years, over 100,000 people were baptized, including
a 100-year-old woman who came to faith through the G.O.D., or several prison inmates who were baptized in prison after accepting Jesus. Christianity has grown by 5% in five years.
