ABOUT BEAM
About BEAM Society Limited
BEAM Society is a non-profit organisation established in 1996, which was later incorporated in 2010. Being the developer and owner of the Building Environmental Assessment Method (BEAM), BEAM Society Limited (BSL) is committed to administering and developing the BEAM Assessment Tools. We offer impartial assessment on building sustainability and build capacity by providing training for BEAM practitioners – BEAM Professionals (BEAM Pro) and BEAM Affiliates. The BSL has become a public body under the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance since 2016.
About BEAM Plus
BEAM Plus is a comprehensive set of assessment tools which embraces a range of good practices in planning, design, construction, management, operation and maintenance of a building or built environment. The Tools provide building owners and users with a single performance label representing the sustainability performance of a building or built environment.
BEAM Plus offers assessment of building performance throughout its life cycle, covering BEAM Plus New Buildings, BEAM Plus Existing Buildings, BEAM Plus Interiors and BEAM Plus Neighbourhood. BEAM Plus rated developments mean increased energy efficiency, lower carbon footprint and lower operation cost, while bringing positive impact on the health and comfort of building users.

.Educate the Hong Kong community to embrace eco-efficiency and

.Combat climate change and contribute significantly towards sustainable development in Hong Kong;
.Extend sound practices of BEAM Plus assessment tools beyond Hong Kong.
