Making History Together Dorchester has always been a special place, a community full of heart, grit and aspiration. A place of incredible diversity. A place where people are proud to live and proud to be from. It’s deined the character of Boston while contributing considerably to its economy and its leadership. If Dorchester thrives, Boston thrives. Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester are the heart of this community. The club’s values change lives, putting thousands of children on track for success in life. The club brings together youth and families from all kinds of backgrounds, adding to civic strength. For decades, our facilities have served us well, but they are now threadbare, maxed out and beyond reasonable repair. It is time to physically transform the clubs in a way that will not only enhance what we can offer and expand how many we can serve; it will convey to our youth and the entire community a sense of their importance. We intend to make history in Dorchester and Boston beyond with a $50 million capital campaign in partnership with the Martin Richard Foundation. We will re-imagine what inclusivity and community means by creating a year-round facility for the Martin Richard Sports Challenge for children with cognitive or physical challenges, as well as building modern, ample club space in which to deliver all of our education, sports, arts, music, nutrition, family support and youth development programs to children and youth throughout our community. We invite you to make history with us. The result will be something that everyone in Dorchester and Boston can be extremely proud of. Bob Scannell President and CEO Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester Bill Richard \{\{Director\}\} The Martin Richard Foundation Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester is a 45-year-old independent organization not afiliated with Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. 1
