El Malei Rachamim shochein bamromim. Ham’tzei m’nuchah n’chonah tachat kanfei haShechinah,
im k’doshim u-t’horim, k’whar harakia mazhirim, l’nishmot yakireinu shehalchu l’olamam. Baal harachamim, yastireim b’seiter k’ nafav l’olamim, v’yitzror bitzror hachayim et nishmatam. Adonai hu nachalatam, v’yanuchu b’shalom al mishkavam. V’nomar: Amen.
O God, full of compassion, Who dwells on high, grant true rest upon the wings of the Shechinah (Divine Presence), in the exalted spheres of the holy and pure, who shine as the resplendence of the firmament, to the soul of _______________ who has gone to his/her [supernal] world. May the All-Merciful One shelter him/her with the cover of His wings forever, and bind his soul in the bond of life. The Lord is his/her heritage; may s/he rest in his/her resting-place in peace; and let us say: Amen.
