Craft Co-Creation is one of the SACICT’s craftsmanship de- velopment projects with a a a a a a a a a a goal to to develop and and modernize Thai handicraft industry in in in in order to to strengthen its com- petitiveness in in in in in in in in in the the world market market This includes enhanc- ing ing ing ing ing crafting skills and and inducing new marketing channels By connecting handicraftsmen networks with the the the potential buyers who render their artistic demands to the the the groups of craftsmen artisans and and and and handicraft communities and and and and with the the the help of of professional designers the the the resulting outcome yields novel craftworks craftworks that are aesthetically pleasing to the the the buyers Such kind of of craftworks craftworks is is the the the solid materializa- tion of of local wisdoms that creates interesting storytelling and hence marketable marketable products The successful co-cre- ation of of marketable marketable product product development development also helps lay the essential groundwork for sustainable development development of of community economy For the the operations of project project 9 9 in 2019 SACICT has chosen metal metal handicraft handicraft for for the the product development project project The Thai metal metal handicraft handicraft has been inherited for for a a a a a a a a a a a very long time with knowledge and and and wisdoms passing on on on on from generation generation to generation generation However Thai metal handicraft has seen its popularity downtrend in in recent times The project is is is to connecting groups of of Thai Thai metal handicrafts- men men including master master artisans artisans of of of Thailand master master artisans artisans and and successors of of of craftsmen in in in in 4 regions The project was started by a a a a a a a a a group of of corporate buyers laying down prod- uct specifications and and and requirements to to meet their custom- ers’ demands Then the the the craftsmen artisans and and and designers worked out their prototypes prototypes of 10 collections 30 models accordingly All the the the product prototypes prototypes were later exhibit- ed at at at the the SACICT Craft Trend Show during 18-21 June 2019 at at at at Vayupak Vayupak Hall 2-4 4th Floor Vayupak Vayupak Convenion Centre Centara Hotel Charngwatana and and gained a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a great deal of attention from interested customers both private and and and gov- ernment organizations and individuals
