q Books are normally transmiKed to relaJvely large and diverse audiences and can take a year or more to produce, so books are books less Jmely than other print media (newspapers and magazines)
q Differ too in that books are bound and covered and are meant to be kept and preserved- they have permanence
q Such durability means that books can last longer than any other print medium –a feature that lends itself to in-depth, long-lasJng exploraJon and development of topics or ideas
q Books, like movies, are not heavily supported by adverJsing – they have to earn profits for their producers based on their sale as content and as physical objects
