Dr. David C. Penn is the founder and director of Imani Counseling Services,
Inc. He has been with the N.C.C.A. since 1996. He is a Board Certified Clinical Supervisor and Diplomate of the National Board of Christian Clinical Therapists. In addition, Dr. Penn is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor with Advanced Certification, a Licensed Temperament Therapist, and a Professional Clinical Member of the N.C.C.A. He is also a Licensed Christian Meditational Therapist.
Dr. Penn is also a public school principal in the South suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. He is licensed in the states of Illinois and Tennessee as a “No Child Left Behind” Social Science educator and administrator. His endorsements include United States History, World History, Political Science, African American History, Geography, and Economics. He recently graduated with honors from Abilene Christian University and received a Superintendent endorsement from the state of Illinois.
Dr. David C. Penn is a member of Phi Delta Kappa and Delta Epsilon Tau Honor Society and former Vice-President of Phi Alpha Theta Chapter of the University of Nebraska. Dr. Penn is certified by the National Board of Christian Professional and Pastoral Counselors (NBCPPC) and the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists (NACBT) as a Cognitive-Behavioral School Counselor.
Additional professional affiliations are held with the American Counseling Association (ACA); American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC); International Association of Biblical Counseling (IABC); and the Southern Africa Association of Pastoral Work (SAAP) in Pretoria, South Africa. Areas
