Westown is a development by SODIC in partnership with Soli- dere International, planned as a new community located west of Cairo. The target built-up area of the project is 3.4million m2 on a land area of 1.2km2.
To establish Westown as a retail and lifestyle destination the first phase of development called for a 120,000m2 (GLA) super-regional shopping and lifestyle centre. Visionnaire were appointed devel- opment consultants advising on zoning analysis, programme anal- ysis, concept development, space planning and options appraisal.
As an integral part of the feasibil- ity study, Visionnaire completed a concept design exercise to test and refine the development premise and leasing strategy. Sub- sequently, Visionnaire appointed and managed a team of con- sultants towards achieving the adopted design and develop- ment strategy.
