Immigrants helped build this province and they
continue to make valuable contributions to Alberta’s
economic, social and cultural life. Immigrants are
vital to sustaining the prosperity and continued
development of Alberta’s economy, now and in the
future.
Offering language, employment, settlement services
and community integration initiatives ensures that
immigrants are equipped with skills, knowledge
and capacities to actualize their full potentials in a
manner that supports sustainable development for
communities towards a prosperous Alberta.

newcomers on their journey to thrive through community,
employment, language, settlement, and therapeutic
programming.
Immigrants are projected
to account for 50% of

population by 2041

of privately owned
businesses are owned by
Albertan immigrants.
Based on historical
settlement trends, Alberta
is expected to welcome
724,000 permanent and
non-permanent residents
between 2024 and 2033
By 2033, Alberta’s
construction labour needs
are expected to increase
