on what he’s been up to
Since my last update in the Summer edition of Plumbheat I have:
..........kick started the SNIPEF trade morning tour and there are now dates in the diary with both Plumb Center and Grahams merchants taking me right up to December. These mornings are not only a great way to meet up with non- member firms but are also extremely useful for catching up with member firms to provide updates as well as gathering important feedback. A big thank you goes out to all the merchants who help arrange and support these mornings.
...........Followed the Screwfix ‘Britains Top Tradesperson’ competition and was delighted when plumber and SNIPEF member Lluis Dalmau, owner of LCD Plumbing & Heating in Clydebank was crowned best of the best, picking up
the keys to a brand new Toyota Hilux. Great news for the Scottish plumbing industry following on from the success of Michael Cairns, owner of SNIPEF member firm Celsius Plumbing & Heating in Portobello who won this award in 2012. Another SNIPEF member currently holds the title of UK Plumber of the year, Shaun Scott works for Derek Scott Plumbing Limited in Insch.

...........travelled to Northern Ireland meeting up with SNIPEF member firms and and will be heading over again soon to promote the many services and benefits of SNIPEF membership. My colleague Martyn Raine (SNIPEF Technical Officer) had also been in Northern Ireland carrying out new member inspections not long before I was over.
...........had a meeting with Ruth Gibb (SNIPEF Communications Officer)
and Richie Martin (Installer Magazine) regarding our partnership on the upcoming Installer Scotland show at Glasgow SEC in September. By the
time you read this I will have fulfilled
my speaking slot and I hope that many of you will have stopped at the SNIPEF stand to say hello. I’ll update you next time on how it went and hopefully will be reporting that I’ve signed up a load of new members!)
