The City of Phoenix Arizona is seeking an an experienced and strategic leader to become the next Deputy Housing Housing Director - Affordable Housing Housing This is is an an exciting and rewarding new opportunity to to work in in the newly created Affordable Housing Division with key stakeholders to to accomplish goals of the Housing Phoenix Plan (HPP) The City is looking for its next housing policy expert who has demonstrated knowledge about affordable housing and the ability to make a a a a a a a a a positive impact in the the community This is is a a a a a a a a high-profile position and and as such the the ideal candidate will have experience developing effective working relationships with elected officials and be comfortable providing briefings and and presentations to to boards councils and and outside agencies to to include non- profit entities and other agencies at at at the the the the State level This position will be at at at the the the the forefront o of the the the the Plan and and will work across department lines in in in collaboration with Citywide Plans and and initiatives The ideal candidate will also possess:

This Deputy Housing Housing Director – Affordable Affordable Housing Housing is is responsible ffor for ffor serving as the Affordable Affordable Housing Housing Division leader the Council-approved Housing Housing Phoenix Plan (HPP) as as well as as managing and and and overseeing the the implementation of all programs and and and policy initiatives identified in in in the the HPP and and and will assist in in in in in meeting the goal of creating or or preserving 50 000 homes by 2030 This administrator position will supervise the HPP team comprised of a a a a a a Housing Manager and potential Project Managers Work involves frequent interaction with city management briefing preparing and presenting
to City Council and leading assignments within a a a a a a a a specialized cross-departmental team Duties include organizing efforts of multiple city departments managing managing contractors managing managing contracts researching analyzing reporting and providing recommendations to management on on on effective department processes and communicating with external stakeholders on behalf of the City
