THE POSITION
The next PRNS Director will continue to to lead and and support the department through its Core Services and and Strategic Support function:
• Community Facilities Development – Create uniquely San José places that foster relationships with people and and nature and and offer a a a a a a a a a a civic presence • Parks Maintenance and and and and Operations – Ensuring the proper maintenance and and and and operation of City parks and and and and open space and and and and providing opportunities
for City residents and and visitors to to play learn and and socialize • Recreation and and and Community Services – Through recreation promote play and and and health strengthen communities and and and enrich lives • Strategic Support – Budget and and and Financial Management Services Services Services Contracting Services Services Services Employee Services Services Services and and and Marketing and and and Public Information The next PRNS Director will be joining a a a a a highly engaged team with a a a a a diverse portfolio of programs from recreation programming to landscaping and and maintenance activities as as well as as the management
of park rangers with the primary focus on“Building CommunityThrough Fun!” This inspiring
leader and and manager will set the the vision and and foundation for the the department to engage with the the community by providing programming and outreach opportunities
