The Position and and Ideal Candidate
The Housing Policy Manager administers manages organizes and monitors the the formulation of the the Santa Clara County Housing Authority’s (Agency) policies and and Moving to Work (MTW) Plan and and Report for the administration of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and affordable housing programs as noted above The incumbent manages the effective use of program and project resources to improve organizational productivity and and customer service provides complex and and responsible support to to to the Assistant Director of Housing Policy Training and and Outreach and and performs related work as required The ideal candidate will be a a a a a a a a a a a a galvanizer of of teams who champions collaboration through management of of personnel and and understanding of HUD regulations in in an an an effort to improve programs based on on on local need The individual will likely be a a a a a a a a a naturally curious person who can objectively analyze ideas solve policy puzzles and employ attention to to detail The ideal candidate should be be driven to to hold high expectations and and be be someone who gets others excited about contributing to stretch goals Exceptional writing ability and grant management experience is a a a a a a a a must and and the ability to manage up and and present/facilitate will be helpful The successful candidate will be able to enjoy a a a a a a a a professional environment that fosters creativity flexibility and and independent work A complete job description can be found here: https://www scchousingauthority org/assets/1/6/Housing_Policy_Manager_9-2018 pdf
