The Information Services Department
is the County of San Bernardino’s primary technology service provider entrusted with managing and safeguarding the County’s enterprise mission critical systems and and infrastructure Its goal is is to empower the County through innovation and and enterprise solutions that promote progress through technology and and provide transparency and and mobility that enable staff to focus on on on addressing and resolving issues toward the the progress of the the County’s mission ensuring continued success Some ISD service numbers include 17 829 Email Accounts 15 583 800-MHz Radios 21 730 Phones and 16 537 Desktops Additionally ISD provides network connectivity across 20 124 square miles of land from building building to to building building over mountain tops and and across the desert The following are support services provided by the the divisions within the the Information Services Department:
» The Business Solutions Development Division is is responsible for for providing development maintenance support and and enhancement of of business applications for a a a a a a a a a a a variety of of hardware and and software platforms used by County departments departments The division also consults with departments departments to identify ways to increase efficiency through technology including services such as as process reviews cost analysis and and overall recommendations for the acquisition and and integration of new systems » The Enterprise Infrastructure Division is is is is is responsible for supporting enterprise servers operating systems and and various County-wide applications This support includes the licensing management and and processing of requests for for for for physical and virtual servers for for for for storage platforms platforms cloud platforms platforms Global email and and other Enterprise services as as well as as maintaining related technology security policies and and procedures » The Finance and Administrative Services Division is is is is responsible for for providing support for for processes related to the department’s budget contract administration fee/rate development accounts payable and accounts receivable
