Measure K San Joaquin County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation projects continues to make a a a a a a a significant difference in in the lives of residents who benefit every day from improvements on freeways streets and and roads and and the transit system Voters first approved Measure K in in in in in 1990 for a a a a a a a a a a a a 20-year period Their trust was rewarded by more than $735 million in in in in in in in transportation improvements in in in in in in in San San Joaquin Joaquin County After experiencing the the success and progress of of Measure K nearly 78% of of San San Joaquin Joaquin voters renewed the the sales tax in in in in in in November 2006 for an an an an an additional 30 years By the the year 2041 Measure K is estimated to to deliver an an an an additional $2 552 billion worth of transportation improvements improvements to to the the the region Major improvements improvements target San Joaquin County freeways streets and and and roads public transit networks pedestrian and and and and bicycle friendly programs It will protect and and and and enhance the the the transportation system today and and well into the the future Measure K 4
