The ideal candidate is a a a a a a a a dynamic seasoned leader with broad experience developing and and providing effective user-centric IT services and and solutions that support both business and community needs Strategic management expertise is is essential as the the the CIO/Director will oversee the the the strategic planning and the the the development of goals objectives policies and procedures in regard
to Citywide IT development and maintenance Given the the CIO’s role both leading the the IT department and supporting the work of 24
other City departments the the candidate should have exceptional skills in cross organizational leadership communication interpersonal skills and can effectively work collaboratively with community leaders external organizations departmental leaders and staff The successful candidate will have the ability to analyze business and and community needs and and recommend viable solutions The City is looking for an equity-
driven and solution-oriented strategic thinker to address the City’s IT needs in in supporting improved service delivery to City staff and the public they serve!
■ The Position
Under the the the general direction of the the the City Administrator the the the CIO is is is an an an an executive management level position and and and is is is responsible for for directing and and and coordinating a a a a a a a a a a a a comprehensive information system to to to provide high quality and and and cost-effective services to to to all City departments The CIO/IT Director is is responsible for for directing the work of IT IT department department staff engaged in in in in application and and and database administration copy and and and print services security public safety support support desktop and and and and and server support support networking and and and and and telecommunications wireless communication communication and and and and and customer service service The CIO is is responsible for for for developing and and and and and monitoring the IT department budget and and and and and for for for selecting supervising training and and and and evaluating assigned staff The duties performed involve the the exercise of of of considerable discretion and and and and latitude of of of judgement in in in in in in in the the formulation and and and development of of policies and and and procedures
