The Public Works Working Supervisor will perform advanced journey level lead and supervisory responsibilities to include a a a a a a a wide variety of maintenance construction or operational tasks Incumbents perform skilled work in in the maintenance repair or or or or operation of streets storm water sewer collection parks and buildings Under direction of the Public Works Director this position leads oversees reviews and and performs work activities and and duties assigned to the Public Works maintenance crews assumes responsibility for for the the more difficult and complex tasks performs other related duties as as required The Public Works Working Supervisor classification is is is part of City management and is is is within the classifications represented by by or or eligible for representation by by Stationary Engineers Local 39 This position currently supervises a a a a a a total of three staff to to include two (2) Maintenance Worker Is and one Maintenance Worker II position position Additionally this is is a a a a FLSA non-exempt position position ■ IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate candidate will have proven success and and and experience as a a a a a a a a a supervisor Strong candidates
will possess the ability to to lead and and motivate staff to to ensure a a a a a a a a a positive and and collaborative working environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a a a a a a must for this position as is is the ability to to to adhere to to to the safety protocols As a a a a Public Works Working Supervisor this position will possess excellent organizational skills in in in the maintenance of of records as as well as as for future planning of of work Additionally the the ideal candidate will possess the the ability to effectively troubleshoot a a a a a a a a range of issues and and matters as as related to construction plumbing electrical paving and asphalt Strong decision-making skills skills and the the ability to manage any issues as they arise are critical skills skills for this position
