The Position
The Finance and Operations
Director oversees the management
of all First 5 finance human resources and administrative operations that support the Commission’s ability to to achieve its mission mission to to foster the optimal development of children zero
to five years of age The Finance and Operations
Director Director works closely with the Executive Director Director and Deputy Director to to ensure the smooth operation of the the organization carrying out the the Commission’s strategic plan anticipating risk and solving problems
creatively and and effectively The Finance and and Operations
Director supervises two staff including the Administrative Manager and the Finance Coordinator The Finance and and Operations
Director leads the design and and execution of First 5’s fiscal strategy development and and implementation financial planning budget development fund balance monitoring and and control S/ he/ ensures that the organization adheres to to approved First 5 fiscal policies assists independent auditors
in in in completing annual audit subject to state statutes and and and local provisions and and and oversees accounting and and and fiscal operations including A/P A/R and and treasury reconciliation The Finance and and Operations
Director fis is also responsible for assurance and and regulatory compliance financial reporting analysis and and support to to the management
team staff and and and Commission and and and grant application reporting and and and oversight In the the supervision and and and support Human Resources and and and Administration the the Finance and and and Operations
Director is responsible for agency compliance with applicable employment laws policies and regulations providing employee support support to to resolve grievances and and supporting the the Executive and and Deputy Directors in in the the resolution of of o complex personnel issues S/he also provides oversight of of o office system functions purchasing and and procurement management
of facilities owned leased or maintained by First 5 Contra Costa and and aherence to and and revisions of administrative policies and and procedures First 5 5 Contra Costa – Finance and Operations
