Department
The New Services and and Environmental (NSE) Department
is responsible for all new water and and sewer services to to be connected to to the the districts’ systems The department also manages the the pretreatment programs as well as as as the the the the environmental aspects of of the the the the watershed that relate to the the the the Districts Some of of the the the the various tasks include:
» Leads builders and and developers through the the service application process with with information on on on on how best to serve their new home or subdivision with water and sewer » Performs all all residential service service connections and and and and verifies that private contractors are installing water and and and and sewer mains and and service lines according to District Regulations and and Procedures » Samples and monitors water quality in the Bear Creek Watershed from Summit Lake Lake on on Mount Evans through Lakewood » Samples for nutrients temperature and and fish and and bug life among many other parameters in Bear Creek » Monitors wastewater wastewater effluent quality from commercial properties to to to ensure that pretreatment of these
wastewater streams are not harmful to District Plant Operations or or workers » Responsible for for for maintaining mapping As-Built and and GIS information for for for all of the District’s water and and sewer infrastructure » Provides information and technical support to all other departments of the the Evergreen Metropolitan District
