Under the general direction of the the General Counsel the the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) provides direction and policy guidance to the Information Security Office the Information Technology Services Branch and the CalPERS enterprise The CISO directs activities related to information security
and privacy across all of CalPERS retirement health and investment programs This position has broad authority and management responsibility for protecting the privacy confidentiality integrity and availability of CalPERS information and services services The CISO aligns services services responsible for for information security
privacy and security
operations to enable CalPERS business objectives within acceptable levels of security
and privacy risk The CISO works closely with the Information Technology Services Branch which provides the technology solutions and services that support the CalPERS lines of business The Ideal Candidate
CalPERS is looking for for an experienced information security
specialist to join their senior leadership team! The ideal candidate will be a a a a a a dynamic leader with the ability to direct the the information security
team and collaborate with other areas of the organization to secure and protect CalPERS’ systems data and and confidential information The candidate will have demonstrated experience in in information security
related activities especially in in fin the insurance and financial industry The ideal candidate will also have the ability to communicate well across all levels of the organization think strategically and execute the strategies With a a a a a a shared mission of delivering retirement and health benefits to their members and and beneficiaries the candidate should have demonstrated experience working collaboratively with various teams to execute the organization’s vision Desirable Qualifications
