While the American and Japanese students were traveling back to Tama University, Japan, to study and implement the inspiration they had got from Thailand into the new products, Thai students did not stop learning and developing their own products as well. The local materials and inspirations were mixed with the Thai students’ personal skills and interests, and then became the attractive and contemporary products that would be able to reach the demands of the present global market. The students, then, brought their new products to a young designer contest, with a goal to be one of five finalists who would exhibit their masterpieces in a product design exhibition at Tama University at the end of 2016.
The first step of their dreams began at the young designer contest organized by Department of Industrial Promotion and Lanna Culture and Craft Association at Yip In Tsoi Co., Ltd, on November 6, 2016. Yip In Tsoi Co., Ltd transformed a part of their office to be a battlefield of ideas and creativity of the Thai students, and also gave their multi used area “Lan Baimai” to organize an exhibition and shopping fair of northern local products, which colored the contest and increased incomes of the local entrepreneurs. Eventually, the five finalists who would exhibit their masterpieces at Tama University was as follow:
