Dr Ramona G. Biholar
Dr Ramona G. Biholar, a Romanian national, is a lecturer at the University of the West Indies, Faculty of Law, UWI, Mona Campus. She teaches International Human Rights Law, Gender and the Law in the Commonwealth Caribbean, European Union Law, and the Law of International Organisations. She also contributes to the teaching of the university course, Anti-Doping in Sports.
Her research interests include national implementation and realisation of human rights; gender and human rights; the United Nation Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW); gender policies in the Caribbean; discriminatory gender stereotyping; and gender-based violence.
