Professor Peter Figueroa
Dr J Peter Figueroa is Professor of Public Health, Epidemiology and HIV/AIDS at The University of the West Indies, where he has led the development of the Doctor of Public Health Programme. He is a member of the UNAIDS panel of experts and former Director
of the HIV/STI Programme and Chief Medical Officer in Jamaica. He has represented Jamaica at many international meetings and served on numerous committees of WHO, PAHO and UNAIDS. He has published 140 peer reviewed papers and three books.
