As work began on the Stadia project in 2010 we began by de- fining the essence and vision of the brand that would serve as the guiding principle. Through this definition phase of the work we arrived at the concept of Buffalo Wild Wings being “The Ultimate Social Experience For Sports Fans”.
The project included in-depth guest research, various inter- views, dine-a long interviews, guest intercepts and competi- tive audits. In addition, time and motion studies were conduct- ed to identify opportunities to improve store operations and efficiencies.
The big idea that came from this work was the concept of “The Stadium”.Thus,weaptlynamedthisproject“Stadia”. Theterm Stadia refers to a multiplicity or number of stadiums.
The concept behind the name was not to replicate the stadium experience but to capture the same energy and excitement that one experiences at a stadium - but in the comfort of a fa- vorite restaurant.
