Light Reads (For H eavy Days) — an incomplete resource is a PDF collection of small press publications compiled by friends of Rabbit Road Press, London for Design W eek Portland.
The original form of this collection was intended to be delivered in paper and in flesh from our hearts at the printing press in London to the reading room in the IPRC in Portland.
As artists who discover and share meaning through print and personal exchange, we are undergoing many evolutions and considerations in these heavy days. Though much of our lives have migrated online and our shared public spaces have been closed off or destabilised — we are still nurturing quiet, radical solutions and escapes between pages. To share glimpses of these varied light sources, we have gathered from what remains and continues to sustain us. We offer an incomplete selection of small press recommendations from UK based artists and publishers.
