These are the ‘angry’ pages.
It’s funny when you make a comic that’s amusing or sad - it’s palatable and acceptable to people, but when there is critcism or anger implied on the page, especially aimed at the present dominant culture, then peo- ple get hella defensive. A lot of my work is processing being new to the States - critiquing and trying to un- derstand the observations I’ve made about social, political, racialized, exploitative and capitalistic culture here.
I had people close to me feel like
I was attacking them personally, which is not my intention - I wel- come all dialogue about my comics, so please talk to me. I’m not trying to bum people out, just laugh at the things I think are shallow or petty. Hope you like!
