WELCOME TO BOTSWANA!
Avery warm welcome to the 25th edition of Discover Botswana.
Each year, we welcome many guests from a multitude
of countries wanting to experience our Jewel of Africa.
The travel industry is buzzing with excitement due to an
increase in connectivity to our beautiful Botswana. In 2024, Ethiopian
Airlines announced a route to Maun via Addis Ababa seamlessly
connecting Europe and our premium destination, the Okavango Delta.
Our national carrier, Air Botswana, announced a Gaborone to Cape Town
link and a Kasane to Cape Town link and Fly Namibia has announced
seasonally operated flights between Maun and Windhoek. Getting to and
from Botswana and connecting to other major destinations in Southern
Africa has just become easier for visitors.
Botswana’s commitment to its natural resources and people remains steadfast. As the tourism
industry grows and more tourism facilities are approved for development, we are proud to
say that this growth is bringing further job opportunities and scope for local entrepreneurs.
Our country’s wildlife is certainly its major attraction but there is also tremendous scope for
cultural experiences as well as for MICE (Meetings, Incentive, Conference and Exhibitions).
We, here in Botswana, are still buzzing with excitement as our very own Letsile Tebogo wins the country’s
first ever gold medal in the Olympic Games Paris 2024. Botswana also won a silver medal in the men’s 4 x
400m relay.
For those of you who have visited Botswana and to those who are
yet to come, we are a proud nation of people who pride ourselves on
our incredible wildlife destinations and the world class service that we
offer. Join us in celebrating the country’s bio diversity and to witness
a land before time in one of Africa’s premium destinations.
