All life depends on water. This life-giving liquid flows, falls, seeps and sometimes stagnates its way across the landscape. It can be ever-present, or a moody, seasonal fly-by-night but wherever it is encountered, and in whatever guise that may be, it is the ultimate bringer of life. It refreshes and replenishes the broadest of rivers and rolls soothingly over parched landscapes, topping up marshes, re-activating pans and awakening the natural world to emerge, and hail its appearance.
