                        Orapa Game Park was established in 1985 by Debswana Diamond Company management of Orapa, Letlhakane and Damtshaa Mines into a core conservation area. It is situated within the Debswana Orapa Mine lease area.
        The Park is about 38000 hectares, T
 making it one of the largest conservation areas in Botswana.
  It is home to animal species including; the endangered black and white rhinoceros as well as giraffe, steenbok, zebra, leopard, kudu, eland, blue

warthog, springbok, impala, black backed jackal, lappet faced vulture, white backed vulture, ground hornbill, kori bustard, ostrich, african rock python, puff adder, monitor lizard and leopard tortoise.

         Vegetation types vary within the park V
 with mopane woodland, mopane bush, mopane scrub, silver bush and open grassland. Soil types include pan soils, sand and calcrete outcrops.
      The eastern part of the park has black soil underlain by basalt and
