Page 4 - Meetings Zimbabwe 2nd Edition
P. 4

Within just one year, the meeting and events industry in Zimbabwe has made great strides... welcoming one of its biggest ever meetings when more than 80,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses convened in Harare, as well as gaining increasing credibility on the world stage.
The work of the new Zimbabwe National Convention Bureau has been invaluable in pulling together both the public and private sectors to work towards a common goal.
And, with developments such as the implementation of the UNIVISA offering seamless travel between Zimbabwe, Zambia and eventually other neighbours – plus the fast-track countdown to the launch of new terminal facilities at Victoria Falls Airport – the stage is set for Zimbabwe to resume its role as a major MICE hub in the southern Africa region.
More and more tour operators, DMCs and media are visiting the country to see for themselves just what is on offer, and Zimbabwe’s natural beauty and splendour is being showcased around the world.
There is more to be done, but in the year since the launch of Meetings Zimbabwe, it is most impressive to see how the MICE industry is expanding.
For more information, read on ... and discover the wonder of Zimbabwe.”
