Shakawe River Lodge is the only lodge based on the banks of the main channel of the mighty Okavango Panhandle. SRL is approached through Samochima village about 10km south of Shakawe.
SRL is managed by Mark and his willing team. All of our meats are halal from some of the best cattle in Botswana. Then cooked on the outdoor braai or pizza oven. Tswana cuisine is a focal point of our menu or Bream from The Okavango is delivered daily by the local fishermen.
We have luxury chalets, Standard rooms and camping facilities.
Inyankuni Houseboat is based out of the lodge, try this for an upclose river experience.
We are a 3 Star Lodge with a 5 Star attitude.
We arrange day trips to The Realm of The Gods Tsodilo Hills, Visit Krokavango Crocodile Farm in Samochima Village. We also arrange Cultural Dance Evenings with sides from the local villages dancing in front of the restaurant.

Kangara Safaris is the mobile safari side of Okavango River Lodge, one of the first lodges in Maun, the doorway to the Okavango Delta.
