resilience of nature, even with significant human interference, in one of the most desolate places on earth.
The paradoxes of this environment are many: large quantities of water surging into a land plagued by persistent drought; a huge variety of vegetation despite harsh conditions; rolling dunes, white salt flats, baobab forests and acacia trees. These with the roar of lions
at night, the graceful oryx against a blue sky and the rolling red sands capped with golden grasses create a unique landscape that is full of life, vitality, and colour. This is a place in which I could lose myself for days, weeks, and even months at a time. It is a harsh place that demands enormous resilience to be discovered, but to the adventurous soul the rewards are endless.
