KGALAGADI
Previous Pages: A Yellow Mongoose, seen frequently in the Kalahari, has snatched a Cobra for a meal. Known for their agility, they can easily outsmart a snake. In this instance, a Ground Squirrel watches on although out of curiosity rather than wanting to share the spoils.
Above: The Kalahari Lions have much greater territories than their counterparts in other parts of Africa. A lot of this has to do with prey species availability and this in turn results in them having to patrol great distances to maintain their territory.
Left: Cape foxes are very playful when growing up. They can be seen rolling around together and trying to grab anything they can. A big kori bustard feather makes great mock prey to practice on to hone their hunting skills.
