One of the first international brand
hotels to launch in Botswana, the Avani
Gaborone Resort & Casino opened its
doors in 2015, reflagged from the Gaborone
Sun following takeover by the Minor Hotel
Group.
An extensive US$7.5million renovation of
the hotel was completed in 2017, with new
contemporary design incorporated in the 199
rooms and all public spaces, and the addition
of amenities such as free WiFi, satellite news,
sports and movie channels.
Located in the heart of the business district
in the Botswana capital, the hotel offers guests a
complimentary shuttle service to and from the
Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, just
15km away.
It features a dedicated conference centre
accommodating up to 500 people, as well as
smaller seminar rooms and a Peo business
