Unlock The Door is a motivational poster - that is created with the intention of pushing people to take a step forward in their life, especially when it comes to making a big, risky, and important deci- sion. Sometimes we humans have to fight a giant brick of wall filled with fear of failure and unfortunate to simply take a leap. Yes, making critical decisions is not easy, and it never is. Still, we have to keep moving in the rhythm of life, conquering the mountains of fear and seas of anxiety.
After deciding the main goal for the poster, I started this project immediately in adobe illustrator. I actually didn’t have a plan at all for what its going to result in - I simply played around with the tools and keep moving forward, just like the message in this poster. I fi- nally came up with a basic shape - a rectangle with a rounded top. Using the blend tool, I created fascinating combination of colors. Subsequently, I filled the shape with an illustration of a girl step- ping inside a door, and that is where the title of this poster was originated from.
To spice it up, I added stars and wavy lines as the background. Lastly, I wrote two follow-up texts to complete the theme of the poster and finished it with a plastic texture overlay. The result may seem simple and not much - yet it holds a powerful and influential message.
