SKIPI’s 2020 Youth Pledge was the last event in my student council’s working period. It was quite unfortunate that the competitions were not able to be held offline, however during the pandemic, the student council team kept adjusting and imple- menting new ideas towards our works for school. Furthermore, to optimize our online event, I designed IG story templates for the student council’s official instagram. This enabled students to experience the excitement in celebrating Indonesia’s Youth Pledge during the physical distancing period.
I drew the illustrations by hand on Procreate, and for the overall design on Adobe Illustrator. The first step was choosing the color scheme, where I went with shades of red and white for this design to match the Indonesian flag. Then, screenshots were taken from each contest as a form of ‘online documentation’. Designing themes and content for the student council’s official IG account has been my job and passion for almost 3 years, it was such an amazing experience and has helped me to keep improv- ing my skills in terms of creativity and design.
