PROFILE – ANDREA HUNT
ANZCP ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
Andrea joined us as the part-time Administrative Officer at the ANZCP in March of 2019. Under the stewardship of Mark Ambrose, Andrea followed on from the then Executive Officer, Richard Mullaly, who had finalised his tenure with the College.
Andrea was returning to work following some time off to embrace Motherhood. Her previous life was as a Publicist, mainly for musical theatre, acting as a conduit between artists and the media, often touring around Australia and New Zealand for weeks at a time. Having worked in such a high pressure environment, often under tight deadlines, now helps contribute to trying to maintain an organisational balance across the ANZCP.
‘I am still learning and developing alongside the College as it is itself learning and developing. This keeps my role varied and interesting—it’s really exciting to see the College progressing and really start to thrive.’
Andrea loved the experience of attending the 2019 ASM in Wellington, which was the first time she had physically met most of the Perfusion community in attendance. Being in regular contact with people from all over both Australia and New Zealand has also provided her with an insight into just how connected a community the industry of perfusion is.
Andrea lives in Melbourne with her husband and two children.
