amongst the great humanitarians volunteering to assist during this years’ fire
crisis. Debbie Staggs (San Radiology) and her husband are both members of the Berowra Rural
Fire Service, driving both large and small fire trucks and attending fires north and north-west of Sydney and in Nowra this season. Neil Mendonsa (San Radiology) uses his specialist skills as a volunteer with St John’s Ambulance for 7 years now, and was based at a camp in northern NSW with duties including 24/7 call/response for firefighters; running a general health clinic treating injuries like minor burns, smoke inhalation, smoke in eyes and respiratory conditions. Steven Crago (SAH Pharmacy Director) recently joined the Westleigh Fire Brigade after qualifying as a Basic Firefighter and was quickly deployed to assist day and night in firefighting, back burning, and
property protection.
