P. 6

Hospitals and medically trained people have to stand tall when faced with a global pandemic. Hospitals are to care for the sick and unhealthy at all times but in crisis they are needed all the more. I can say that Adventist HealthCare (AHCL) has stood the test and worked through all the challenges and implications that COVID-19 has brought to us. We have stayed true to the mission of ‘Christianity in Action –
caring for the body, mind and spirit of our patients, colleagues and ourselves.’
AHCL has been able to deliver the usual quality healthcare and fulfil its strategic goals and objectives. We can thank the government for the financial support, but it has been the staff that have remained focused and really shone.
I know personally as I had a small medical procedure done during this time with an overnight stay and
the care was absolutely world class. Thank you to all staff, those working at AHCL, volunteers and board members for being willing to adapt, give extra time and ensure the safety and protection of all who visited our facilities.
As a leading faith-based healthcare provider in Northern Sydney and beyond we will continue to innovate and expand to be a blessing to those who we encounter in this ministry of health.
