“My brain has always been naturally wired to visual learning and in the final stages of medical school I realised that I preferred diagnostics over therapeutics. A speciality career in medical imaging was a natural choice for me.
Fusing CT and MRI with PET gives me the ultimate understanding of disease processes, particularly cancer. That’s why I became a dual qualified imaging specialist before doing a body oncology imaging fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York.
San Radiology and Nuclear Medicine is the only imaging centre in Australia where I have seen standards even better than that of North American Ivy League institutions. My passion is prostate cancer and particularly emerging prostate imaging modalities, such as PSMA PET MRI.
The San is one of the only centres to offer a dedicated prostate cancer MDT. Our prostate MDT is a close knit world class group, and our cohesiveness and constant communication provides patients with a unique advantage.
Do we offer the best prostate cancer experience in Australia? Absolutely! ” Now time to put into action my dream of an Australian-first prostate cancer centre.
